AIRFARE

For this trip, once we finalize who is coming, we will be making a group reservation through a travel agent. This will ensure that 1) we get the itinerary we want, 2) that everyone can travel together in a group, and 3) that we lock in the same rate for everyone. The application deadline to apply to join for this trip is Friday, October 21st. At that time, we will follow up directly with everyone who has signed up and let you know the exact flight details, including cost per person. The travel agent is only able to hold group bookings for a certain number of days, so you will need to call the travel agent and provide your credit card details within that timeframe to confirm your booking. We will help you every step of the way, not to worry!

IN-KIND DONATIONS

We welcome donations of in-kind materials for our students at Escuela Vera Angelita! Gifts are most certainly welcome if they can 1) be used and enjoyed by all, or 2) if enough individual gifts are brought to give to all of our current students (88 total students). Some examples of gifts that are always useful include the following:

  • Books! Our beautiful library is in high demand for both English and Spanish books. Fun pre-teen stories in particular are popular and help to stimulate the desire to read, especially if they are in Spanish.

  • Art supplies

  • Craft supplies & activities

  • Sports equipment

  • Recreational materials (games, puzzles, etc.)

  • Personal care items (hairbrushes, toothbrushes, hair ties, etc,)

  • Teaching materials

We also keep an updated Amazon Wishlist of materials we are currently seeking. If you feel so inclined, please feel free to buy items off this list and/or be inspired by its contents. We encourage you to bring any gifts / donated items with you on your trip!
